Crystal Meier

Crystal is the owner, operator and head coach at Hearthstone Equestrian. She began riding at age 3 and quickly developed a lifelong passion for horses and equestrian sport. she was a competitive hunter/jumper rider and began transitioning to dressage in recent years after an unfortunate accident ended her jumping career. Crystal currently competes as a FEI grade 5  Para Dressage rider. Additionally, crystal has a Bachelors degree in Health Science with a focus in leadership and a decade of experience working in critical care medicine. She specializes in trauma informed

coaching techniques and is passionate about helping riders find their confidence in and out of the saddle.

 

Crystal is passionate about creating well rounded equestrians and happy healthy horses. She loves helping her students reach their personal goals. She believes that there is a place for everyone in equestrian sport whether you have competitive aspirations or enjoy other aspects of the sport. She is an equestrian Canada registered competition  coach with licensing in process.

​​Crystal was previously the head instructor at a large lesson barn in Surrey, BC where she also ran a highly successful equine therapy prograM. She then spent several years co-running a successful competitive hunter/jumper program in a successful in Langley, bc as well as training competitive dressage riders.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
